About Cell
Karnataka State Open University has established an Industry – Institute Partnership Cell. The Industry-Institute Partnership Cell (IIPC) of KSOU is a dedicated cell to promote the close interaction between industry and various academic departments of the University. The IIP Cell facilitates Students Projects, consultancy, sponsored R&D projects and industrial and academic trainings those are not prescribed in the syllabus in addition to conducting industrial exhibitions and interaction meets for Curriculum Development and so on.
The initial focus of this cell is to closely interact with the industries situated in and around Mysuru and later expand to State level, Industries and Universities.
The objectives of IIP Cell are:
1. Coordinating student projects
2. Organizing Industry Study Tour Programmes (ISTP)
3. Conducting joint research work
4. Curriculum development in association with industry experts
5. Guest lectures by industry experts
6. Arranging technical festivals
7. Providing consultancy services to industries
