The act was promulgated with the objects is torder to establish an Open University at the State level for the need and promotion of Open University and Distance Education systems in the education pattern of the State and for the Co-ordination and determination of standard of ODL system in Higher Education.<\/p><p>KSOU are recognised by University Grants Commision (UGC) New-Delhi vide order No: F.No 14-5\/2018 (DEB-I) Dated : 14th August 2018 for the period from 2018-19 to 2022-23.
