Philosophy (Ph.D.) Programme<\/strong><\/p><p>The <strong>Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) Programme of Karnataka State Open University (KSOU) <\/strong>is offered in the R<strong>egular Mode <\/strong>and is fully <strong>equivalent and at par with the Ph.D. Programmes of all conventional universities <\/strong>in the country. The Programme is designed to promote advanced research and scholarly inquiry across various disciplines.<\/p><p>The Ph.D. Programme of KSOU is governed by the <strong>University Grants Commission (UGC) Regulations, 2016<\/strong>, titled <em>\u201cMinimum Standards and Procedure for the Award of Ph.D. Degree\u201d<\/em>, issued by the University Grants Commission, New Delhi, and is further regulated by the <strong>KSOU Ph.D. Ordinance, 2012<\/strong>, including its <strong>IV Amendment (2023)<\/strong>, as amended from time to time.<\/p><p>Admission to the Ph.D. Programme is primarily intended for candidates who aspire to pursue a <strong>career in research, higher education, and academic leadership<\/strong>. The Programme aims to impart A<strong>dvanced Theoretical Knowledge, Research Methodology, Analytical Skills, and Ethical Research Practices<\/strong>, thereby enabling scholars to make original and significant contributions to their respective fields of study.<\/p><p>Through rigorous coursework, guided research, and scholarly publications, the Programme equips candidates with the
