Babu Jagjivan Ram Study Chair

Inroduction

Green revolution pioneer, national leader and former Deputy Prime Minister of India, Dr. Babu Jagajivan Ram who was in the Union Cabinet for a long time after independence and played an important role in the construction of the country. Babuji's chair was established on 23.08.2012. The main objective is to carry out study, research and extension activities related to the thoughts of Babu Jagjivanaram.

Vision :

Enabling the society to understand Dr. Babu Jagajivanram’s ideas , ideals and achievements

Mission :

1.To impart knowledge on Dr. Babu Jagajivanram’s achievements, ideas and ideals by organizing seminars, conferences, workshops and entension activities.

2.To create awareness regarding health, environment and agriculture issues.

3.To develop leadership qualities among learners

4.To create awareness among students and community people about various Government programmes meant for SC,ST and backward communities students.

5.To undertake research studies and projects regarding issues and problems pertaining to SC,ST and backward community students.

6.To introduce relevant academic programmes

About

Jagjivan Ram (5 April 1908 – 6 July 1986),[1] known popularly as Babuji, was an Indian independence activist and politician from Bihar. He was instrumental in the foundation of the All India Depressed Classes League, an organisation dedicated to attaining equality for untouchables, in 1935 and was elected to Bihar Legislative Assembly in 1937, after which he organised the rural labour movement.

ದಿನಾಂಕ: 02.05.2015 ಡಾ. ಬಾಬು ಜಗಜೀವನರಾಮ್ ಅಧ್ಯಯನ, ಸಂಶೋಧನಾ ಮತ್ತು ವಿಸ್ತರಣಾಕೇಂದ್ರ ದಿಂದ ಉದ್ಘಾಟನಾ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಹಮ್ಮಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗಿತ್ತು.

• ದಿನಾಂಕ: 28.04.2017 ಡಾ.ಬಾಬು ಜಗಜೀವನರಾಂ ಅವರ 110ನೇಜಯಂತೋತ್ಸವದ ಅಂಗವಾಗಿ ವಿಶೇಷ ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಹಮ್ಮಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸಕರು, ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು, ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾನಿಲಯದ ಬೋದಕೇತರ ನೌಕರರು, ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರು. ಸಮುದಾಯದ ಗಣ್ಯರು ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು.

ದಿನಾಂಕ: 04.05.2019 ಡಾ.ಬಾಬು ಜಗಜೀವನರಾಂ ಅವರ 112ನೇ ಜನ್ಮ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆ ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸಕರು, ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು, ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾನಿಲಯದ ಬೋದಕೇತರ ನೌಕರರು, ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರು. ಸಮುದಾಯದ ಗಣ್ಯರು ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು.

ದಿನಾಂಕ: 19.08.2019 ಡಾ.ಬಾಬು ಜಗಜೀವನರಾಮ್ ಅವರ 33 ನೇ ಪುಣ್ಯ ಸ್ಮರಣೆ ಪ್ರಯುಕ್ತ "ಬಾಬೂಜಿಯವರ ಜೀವನ ಮತ್ತು ಸಾಧನೆಗಳ ಕುರಿತು ವಿಶೇಷ ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸ ಹಮ್ಮಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸಕರು, ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು, ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾನಿಲಯದ ಬೋದಕೇತರ ನೌಕರರು, ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರು. ಸಮುದಾಯದ ಗಣ್ಯರು ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು.

ದಿನಾಂಕ: 06.07.2022 ಡಾ. ಬಾಬು ಜಗಜೀವನ ರಾಮ್ ಅವರ 36ನೇ ವರ್ಷದ ಪುಣ್ಯಸ್ಮರಣೆಯನ್ನು ಮೈಸೂರು ರೈಲು ನಿಲ್ದಾಣದ ಬಳಿಯ ಅವರ ಪ್ರತಿಮೆಗೆ ಮಾಲಾರ್ಪಣೆಯನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿ, ನಮನ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸಕರು, ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು, ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾನಿಲಯದ ಬೋದಕೇತರ ನೌಕರರು, ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರು. ಸಮುದಾಯದ ಗಣ್ಯರು ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ದಿನಾಂಕ: 06.07.2022 ರಂದು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಮುಕ್ತ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾನಿಲಯದ ವತಿಯಿಂದ ಡಾ. ಬಾಬು ಜಗಜೀವನರಾಮ್ ಅಧ್ಯಯನ ಸಂಶೋಧನಾ ಮತ್ತು ವಿಸ್ತರಣಾಕೇಂದ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರ ಪುಣ್ಯಸ್ಮರಣೆಯ ಪ್ರಯುಕ್ತವಾಗಿ ಅವರ ಭಾವಚಿತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಪುಷ್ಪಾರ್ಚನೆಯನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವುದರ ಮೂಲಕ ಗೌರವವನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
