Karnataka state Open University is an visionary university in the field of open and distance learning.
Its working with a moto “HIGHER EDUCATION FOR EVERYONE, EVERYWHERE”. The university is very much interested in overall development of students.
That’s why to give proper, ethical and spiritual based education, university established a chair in the name of Swamy Vivekananda.
As we all know Swamy Vivekananda was a great thinker, philosopher, spiritual personality of India as well as this world. To imbibe his knowledge, sayings and thoughts in the society, KSOU started Swamy Vivekananda study chair in the year 2012.
ESTABLISHMENT
• Swamy Vivekananda Chair has been established on 13-01-2012.
• Inaugurated by Swamy Mukthidanand Maharaja, Sri. Ramakrishna Ashrama.

• To Spread the ideology of Swamy Vivekananda in the Society.
• To Inculcate the thoughts and courageous self confidence in present youths.

• Workshops on Ethical education emphasized by Swamy Vivekananda
• Providing Opportunity for students to participate in different competitions based on the works of Swamy Vivekananda
• Offer Certificate Course on Swamy Vivekananda life and writings.
