About Cell
Karnataka State Open University, Mysuru has started its Placement Cell effective from 29 th of June 2019. This cell is functioning with its excellent quality since inception. Its objective is to provide employment opportunities to both graduate & post graduate aspirants. All UG & PG candidates were eligible to participate in the recruitment drive. Top companies/employers from all over Karnataka participate in the job fairs.

- Facilitate functions and activities that support the growing relationship of academia and the industry and thereby create better opportunities for placement for all deserving learners
Mission
- To provide better employment opportunities to its students as well as alumni at all levels matching with their personal and academic profiles. In fact.
- To work on the premise that the right candidate meets the right recruiter at the right place.
- To interface between the industry and the students.
- To identify locals in providing better placement opportunities to the students.

• Job fair held on 30th Nov 2019 : Giving employment opportunity to graduate holders
Karnataka State Open University, Mysuru has started its Placement Cell effective from 29th of June 2019. This cell is functioning with its excellent quality for the past 11 months. 1st Job Fair was held on 30th Nov 2019 at the KSOU campus in collaboration with District Employment office Mysore division. Both graduate & post graduate completed job aspirants were eligible to participate in this recruitment drive. Top companies/employers from all over Karnataka were part of this recruitment drive. Around 105 companies participated in this Job fair and total 7300 job aspirants participated in this drive
• Campus Recruitment Drive on 28.02.2020
Campus Recruitment drive was conducted within the KSOU campus on 28th Feb’2020 for both the graduate & post graduate students. Top companies/employers from all over Karnataka were invited for this recruitment drive.
• Virtual Job Fair Drive on March 15th to March 30th
The Placement cell of KSOU, Mysuru conducted a recruitment drive from 15th March’2021 to 30th March for around 15 days in collaboration with RIIT Job kart, India. This drive was conducted to provide job opportunities for students who have completed SSLC/PUC/Degree/ITI/Diploma & B.E.
• Mega Job fair held on 7th March 2022
The Placement cell of KSOU, Mysuru conducted job fair with the approval of honourable Vice Chancellor. Drive was conducted in KSOU in collaboration with Department of Skill Development, Entrepreurship and Livelihood, Government of Karnataka in the KSOU campus on 7th March 2022 for both the graduate & post graduate students of different Universities of Karnataka. Top companies/employers from all over Karnataka were invited for this recruitment drive. Around 92 reputed companies were part of this recruitment drive. Approximately 5036 students had enrolled for openings. Totally 1171 students got Placement in this from Mega job fair.
• Apprenticeship Mela held on 13th June 2022
The Placement cell of KSOU, Mysore, conducted the Apprenticeship Mela in Collaboration with Joint Director, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, New Delhi, and the Joint Director, Industrial Training and Employment Government of Karnataka. ITI qualification holders Participated as aspirants in a drive conducted at KSOU with the approval of the honorable Vice-Chancellor. Around 13 reputed companies were part of this apprenticeship drive. Approximately 431 ITI students had enrolled for openings. Totally 421 students got an Apprenticeship drive.
