About Department

Department of Zoology in Karnataka State Open University was established in the year 2020. The main objective of this programme was to provide quality education at any age and produce skilled zoologists at affordable cost, especially for those working professionals who couldn‘t attend regular courses in conventional universities. Department of Zoology offers two years M.Sc. programme in Zoology in Open Distance Learning mode. The Zoology sector has tremendous growth potential and employment opportunities to day. The Department of Zoology comes under the ambit of School of Sciences and offers Masters and Bachelor Degree in Zoology. The curriculum is designed to suit the current needs of present global needs in relevant sectors. The department has first rate infrastructure with high quality laboratories, well equipped classrooms, and auditorium and research facilities.
